A Season on the Move:

A Season on the Move, 2004, is a thirteen-minute experimental documentary on two agricultural traditions and the seasons in which they occur: wheat cutting and sheep shearing. The machines, the landscape, the weather patterns and human efforts are visually explored in color and black and white super 8 images. Through the visuals and the sounds of combines, weather forecasts, nature, commodities reports, livestock auctions and shearing combs, the film cycles through the seasons. The wheat harvest of late summer is compared to the shearing season in early spring. The film is a meditation on the two harvests, grain from the earth and wool from the sheep’s back.
